Watford want €30m for Nestory Irankunda, according to transfer pundit Malu Mpasinkatu.

What's the situation?

The Serie A side Fiorentina have been linked with a move for the forward, who scored four goals in his debut campaign at Vicarage Road and has impressed for Australia at the World Cup.

Why the high price tag?

Mpasinkatu suggested the price might be too high, citing Bayern Munich's 50% sell-on clause for Irankunda, which drives up the Hornets' asking price, as Watford look to generate a capital gain, having signed him for around €4m last summer.

What comes next?

With Giorgi Chakvetadze set to leave for Udinese, Irankunda is considered a key member of the squad heading into next season, as Watford sit 16th in Championship, 57 pts, 14W-15D-17L from 46 games, with a recent form of LLLLL, and their last result being Watford 0-4 Coventry on 2026-05-02, and their next fixture vs Boreham Wood on 2026-07-11
