The Watford Observer now says the medical uncovered problems that have put the transfer on ice while Watford seek extra tests. The findings have also forced a rethink on whether to push for an immediate permanent deal or pivot to a shorter-term loan agreement.
Sky Sports Italia previously reported a loan-with-obligation-to-buy structure was discussed if Watford win promotion to the Premier League. Ravaglia, 26, made 17 Serie A appearances last season and five in the Europa League, missing just one matchday squad through injury - a 2-0 loss to Napoli in November.
