Watford Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of former player and manager Kenny Jackett, who led the Hornets to numerous successes during his 25-year managerial career. Jackett, who was 64, managed over 300 games for the club, leading them to promotion from League One and to an FA Cup Semi-Final. He also played for the club, making 428 appearances for the Hornets. The club announced the news on Friday, praising Jackett as 'one of the most respected managers to have plied their trade in the English Football League'. One of his former clubs, Millwall, said: 'Millwall Football Club is extremely saddened to announce the passing of former manager Kenny Jackett at the age of 64.' Wolves also paid tribute to Jackett, saying: 'Wolves are devastated to learn of the passing of our former manager Kenny Jackett.' Jackett started his playing career with Watford, before moving into coaching with the club. He had been out of work since 2022.
