Watford City police are investigating a string of burglaries that occurred on Wednesday night in Watford City, North Dakota. According to a press release, two juveniles are accused of breaking into at least 20 vehicles and stealing a loaded handgun from an unlocked vehicle. Witnesses reported seeing the juveniles leaving the area with the gun. In addition to statements from the witnesses, officers obtained surveillance footage and were able to arrest the suspects. The incident occurred in the Madison Heights Apartments, Boulder Ridge Apartments, 6th Avenue NE, 6th Street NE, 5th Street NW, and 3rd Avenue NW areas.
