Watford Lose Nestory Irankunda, but Gain Opportunity to Sign Yang Hyun-jun
Watford are no strangers to selling prized assets, and another big sale has come around this summer. Nestory Irankunda is leaving Vicarage Road after just a year, moving to Sporting CP in a deal worth up to €18m with add-ons included. The Hornets didn't get to see Irankunda's true potential, with many feeling he is primed to explode soon.
What Makes Yang Hyun-jun an Attractive Option?
Yang Hyun-jun is a 24-year-old winger with electric pace and impressive ball-striking ability. He is a direct dribbler with the speed to breeze past players when up to speed, but he also has the agility and footwork to drop a shoulder and dupe his man as well. Yang is another powerful finisher on both feet and could become a quick goal threat at Watford.
Why Watford Should Consider Signing Yang Hyun-jun
Watford are risk-takers in the transfer market; moving for Irankunda was a gamble in itself. And, there would be a bit of risk involved in signing Yang too. Celtic fans have, at times, lamented his lack of consistency. At his best, Yang is an electric winger and a constant goal threat, but he can drift out of games and his end product can be lacking as a result.
