Watford is set to sign Bradford City keeper Sam Walker, with a deal reportedly close to completion. Graham Alexander, Bradford City manager, confirmed that a deal is set to be done with Walker's City replacement also due to arrive straight away.

Watford is currently 38 points behind leaders Coventry in the Championship title race. The Hornets have scored 53 goals and conceded 65 this season, with a -12 goal difference. Their last result was a 0-4 loss to Coventry on May 2, 2026.
Walker has been keen to take up the offer from Watford with his family based locally in Hertfordshire. He has made 125 appearances for Bradford City since signing in January 2024, including a run of 112 consecutive league starts.
An image posted on social media earlier today showed former Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham free agent Cameron Dawson at Woodhouse Grove. He had previously been working with the Owls in pre-season and went on their European training camp.
Watford's third-choice keeper position is set to be filled by Walker, with Federico Ravaglia and Daniel Bachmann as the first and second choices.
