Wrexham's Imray Shines in 1-1 Draw Against Watford
Wrexham's Danny Imray scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw against Watford at The Racecourse on Saturday. The Reds came from behind to draw level with the Hornets, but despite creating numerous chances, they were unable to take all three points.

Wrexham didn't create an abundance of clear-cut chances, but they twice hit the woodwork and were the team pushing for the winner. Watford, on the other hand, were a threat on the break all afternoon and Wrexham were sloppy in possession at times, but solid defending by the Reds meant they didn't look like shipping another goal.
It was a decent enough performance, but Wrexham will feel frustrated not to have taken all three points. They have played some good football so far in the first two games, but just haven't taken the chances they've created. Wrexham need to be more ruthless, but with last season's top scorer Josh Windass on his way back from injury and more new signings expected before the transfer window closes on September 1, you feel there's more to come from Parkinson's men.
A lot is expected of the Reds after finishing seventh last term, missing out on the play-offs by two points. But scoring goals when playing well and on top in matches is something that needs addressing if they are going to challenge for promotion once more. Parkinson wasn't too despondent, saying: "I thought we started the game really well. Obviously they got the goal with the first real chance they've had and then after that, I thought we responded brilliantly."
